About the workshop
We invite you to an exciting photo trip in Uzbekistan. Anzon Bukharsky, a photographer working in the documentary genre and a native of the country, will be group leader. Every day you will practice street and genre photography under his guidance, and in the evenings discuss and select the best pictures. These will be published in album form once the trip is over, and every participant get a copy.
This is an autumn trip, with pleasantly warm weather and an abundance of ripe fruit to sweeten up the creative journey. Expect plenty of interesting sights — the program includes photo sessions in some of the great cities of the ancient East, including former Khanate capitals Bukhara and Khiva. Historians believe that a few of Eurasia’s earliest civilizations grew around the water-rich oases of what is now Uzbekistan.
It will also be an opportunity for you to discover a different side of Asia, not often seen by tourists, take a step into medieval times and learn to express your feelings and observations through photography.
