About the workshop

The photo expedition is dedicated mainly to street photography in Tbilsii and Batumi. The transfers between the towns are minimized, so that we have enough time for walking the streets of the two cities, interesting from the point of view of the street and genre photography.

We will stay in good hotels in the centers of the cities. Each day we will meet in the conference room to discuss the photos and talk about photography. The participants will be given recommendations on the areas of the cities, most interesting for photography.

Program hide

Base program:

June 29 — arrival day to Tbilisi, check-in to the hotel. In the evening – the first lecture and the introduction of the participants..
July 9 — departure day from Batumi.

- 6 days of photography in Tbilisi
- 4 days of photography in Batumi

We will mostly do individual work during the trip, meeting each evening for the discussion of the photos taken during the day and discussing different photogrphy-related issues.

If you wish, you can add a travel component to the program. For that purpose, two day-trips are planned from Tbilisi:

1. Kakheti

Departure from Tbilisi to the Eastern Georgia, the wine region of Kakheti. Meeting the local people, learning local traditions, beautiful traditional lunch in Kvemo Alvani, wine tasting, as well as visiting numerous churches and monasteries in scentic settings. In the vening, back to Tbilisi by an alternative road..

2. Kazbegi

Departure from Tbilisi towards the Northern Georgia. First stop at Ananuri fortress, and then up north by the mountain road almost all the way to the border with Russia. Meeting the local culture in the village of Sno, a short trip with off-road vehicles towards the beautiful Sameba Gergeti monastery. Then back to Tbilisi.
